Enjoy the experience of staying in a traditional salt-box home, that’s been lovingly restored to respect it’s over 150 year past, with the modern touches of today for optimum comfort. This three bedroom, two full bath (shower in one, clawfoot tub in the other) house is located in Joe Batt’s Arm and looks right out into the harbour. It has a beautiful back deck to BBQ, sit and watch the sunset and world go by. It is centrally located with a short walk to the Fogo Island Inn, Scoff Restaurant, Growlers Ice Cream, and Tina’s Gas Bar and Grocery.
The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a wood stove and electric heat for chilly nights. The house has a washer, dryer and dishwasher for your convenience. New mattresses, pillows, fabulous cotton sheets and towels round out this timeless experience.
"My wife and I, along with our 2 boys, recently stayed at Louise House in Fogo, and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. It's been beautifully restored, and is simply charming. Janice the owner was so accommodating and helpful to 1st time Fogo visitors. Our stay there was one of the highlights of our trip across Newfoundland, and we'd highly recommend both Fogo and Louise House."
Our family of four spent 2 wonderful nights on Fogo Island at the Louise House. Janice was extremely gracious and accommodating. The house was cozy and clean. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds very comfortable(our best sleeps of the trip) and the wood stove was a welcome touch at night after the many activities throughout the day. We highly recommend!
